Well, that’s the first full week done and what a week of firsts it has been! In literacy we began our class text, ‘The Whale’ and wrote our first sentences using ‘expanded noun phrases’ before trying our hand at simile poems. Myself and Miss Griffiths have been blown away by the creativity and quality of their writing. In Science we studied the human digestive system, whilst in History we began learning about why the Ancient Greek Empire was so significant. Maths has been a major focus and the class have loved using the laptops and iPads to log into TT Rockstars and Dreambox Maths. Last but certainly not least, we began swimming lessons at Bishop Auckland baths. Understandably, there were a few nerves but the whole class did themselves proud and all I can say is; watch out Michael Phelps!
