Wow! Thank you, everyone, for a great week in Class 3. It is a joy to see how kind, friendly and helpful these children are and how well they enjoy each other’s company. I was delighted to watch so many great games going on at playtime, and children enjoying being with their friends both inside and outside the classroom. One of the nicest things we’ve done as we begin our Year 3 journey is talk about our goals and aspirations for the year. There are so many things that we have accomplished and also things that we’re still learning to do. Ask your child about our new friend, The Magical Yet and how, with the Yet at our side we will persevere and work hard towards our goals.
We found a mysterious collection of objects in our classroom, with a note explaining that they once belonged to a character from a story! Class 3 were tasked with using their detective skills to try and work out who might have left them, what kind of story the character was from and what we think might happen. I’m certain they will be very eager to tell you all about this strange character.
In maths we have been looking at place value, developing our understanding of hundreds, tens and ones.
We know about healthy foods and why we need to eat lots of fruit and vegetables, protein and carbohydrates, and that sweet, sugary or fatty foods should only be eaten as an occasional treat.
Mr Lamb was delighted with how well everyone performed in dance when class 3 had PE this week. Well done everyone!
I’m looking forward to next week very much.
